Will they travel with us to China? The short answer, no.
The long answer, no, because of many different reasons. We have been through a lot with Jacob's Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) this year and feel that it will be better for him to stay in familiar surroundings with a somewhat consistent schedule. He also has many anxieties due to his SPD and think that many of his anxieties will be averted if he remains home. Julia will also stay because it's not fair to take her and leave Jacob behind, they will have each other to play with, and, hopefully, they will distract each other from the fact that mom and dad are not there! Let's face it, cost also plays a factor into our decision not to bring them. Air travel to China and hotel costs in the summer months is expensive. We will miss them terribly and will call home every day to talk to them, but we feel it's best for everyone if the kids stay home.
We hope that we can take all three of them on heritage trips to their birth countries one day. THIS trip is for Jenna's adoption...she needs only her parents during this journey just like Jacob and Julia did during their adoptions.
